Palmer's Pursuit

Check out this bad-ass pump gun from Palmer's Pursuit. This brings me back to my first paintball gun (WGP Sniper) and the memory of taking out three semi players, watching their faces when they realized I had a pump.... Those were the days!

Expected at the end of November. $200 non returnable deposit to reserve a serial number. No deposit required to get on a call list. Call For Price.

-100% MADE in the USA
-Built in Palmer Stabilizer (regulator)
-Quick Fire autotrigger. Hold the tigger down and pump away.
-HARD Anodized Black standard. Other colors optional.
-Ball-Feed Indexing and Barrel "Wedgit" (no roll outs)
-Compact and light weight: only 2 pounds with barrel and 12g changer
-Length: 15.5 inches (std. barrel 10.5")
-Barrel: Blazer clamping style barrels
-Aircraft Grade Aluminum Main Body
-Swing Trigger .45 frame
-Vertical ASA (adapts to many configurations)
-R.O.F = Blazing fast (depends on how fast your arm is) Mechanical Trigger (No batteries needed)
-Ready for CO2 or N2/HPA
-UltraQuik Field Stripping
- Right, Left and Center Feed versions are availible

The photo below is the first prototype that Craig made, anodized in house and close to but not a final product...we're still working on some other new features for it such as a 'L pump' that can be seen in the photo like the hitman mod for snipers and doing custom changable feeds as addons. Ultimately the center feed models will look just like this one with a Lapco made clamping feedneck thats removable and interchangable with a stock class feed or a spring feed. The barrels it will use are standard Blazer style non-threaded barrels, any current barrel can be milled to fit, however we can make a barrel for you to your specifications out of brass. The pump stroke is very smooth, the springing inside is nelson based therefore very light, Craig has been using sear springs as his pump return springs and they work great. The stock on the one below is an addon Craig added to play with it this weekend, its optional. **No name has been decided on yet, we are taking suggestions...our old working name was 'Pyre'.

New 2008 Halo Hybrid Backplates!

It's nice to be able to add accessories but these are a bit over the top. I guess anything to make yourself a little different than the other player is always better... Why not just print a sticker at home and add it!!!

Dynasty Paintball in Space!

This is a little ridiculous, well a lot, but if Alex Fraige is letting us in on a secret Nxe Jet Pack this is a great way to do it. It would make sense to use this pack at Hollywood Sports Park's Lunar field!!!

Rage To Use MacDev Markers

Sure MacDev is in Miami but that new Droid is hot and I wouldn't be surprised to see another D1 team shooting them by next season....

After 3 fun filled years with Angel we have decided to move on. MacDev USA has moved to our back yard here in Miami making it a no brainer. Diane, James, and Bourke have sponsored Rage and Rage's D1 team in the past and we have had nothing but great times with them. We want to thank Owen. Jed, Bart, and Mat for having faith in us the past 3 seasons. We also apologize for a lousy season. Looking forward to next season the team will be shooting a combination of Droids and Borgs. We look forward to a long relationship with MacDev and MacDev USA. - From Art Mendoza of Rage

Hard Corps - Torque Loader Video Feed Tests

Check out the first video feed test... Looks and runs great. Then watch the second one... It still runs well but there are a few issues with getting the last 30 paintballs to feed. Finally, watch the third video and try not to drool. I am sure the second video has a lot to do with it not being attached to a gun as well as new user error. Thanks for posting these pbbuddy12.

Signature 2008 Ollie Lang DM8

The Ollie Lang signature DM8 is popping up for sale all over... Check it out.

New for 2008, the DM8 has a host of features, updates, and refinements. We have utilized our resources of professional players, designers, and engineers to come up with the best marker yet in the DM series. The DM8 continues the tradition of being one of the lightest, smallest, fastest and certainly the most accurate of paintball markers in the world. To improve on an already reliable design, the DM8 has no eyeplates. This is possible with the new internal patent-pending Eye Pipe anti-chop sensing system. This new design eliminates the need for eyeplates and allows us to reduce the width of the marker body, ultimately reducing the weight by 1.5oz. The new micro LPR has been reduced in size and now provides more efficient shot consistency. On top of this, we are introducing the all new Hyper3™ regulator. The Hyper3™ is smaller, more consistent, and adjusts more precisely allowing you to set your pressure in finer increments. All of these innovations, coupled with new 3D body styling, standard features like the patent pending Ultralite frame and 2 piece barrel, give perfection a new meaning.

ODD Paintball - Custom Marker Design

ODDpb.com offers custom designed graphic anodizing, laser engraving, and general paintball design. Check out a few of the bad-ass designs and if you want to see some more head to their site and go to the gallery! I have also listed the packages they offer below....

Paltinum - $665.99
Is your idea truly over-the-top? For those looking to turn it up to 11, this package offers the pinnacle of our abilities! The possibilities for your design are truly open here, even extra drafts, changes, additions, etc. are possible if necessary. Custom engraved DStroyer grips from Dark Seoul are included. This is truly the jumping-off point for your ultimate gun.. want a stand, wall-display, hand-tooled leather grips, matching engraved shotglass?; any crazy idea.. shoot it by us and odds are we can make it happen!

Gold - $500
The true starting point for an ODD original. All Gold package guns are one-of-one, and thus guaranteed never to be duplicated. We bring our complete design services to your theme, working with your full input and any usable artwork you wish to provide. This package includes full ano and laser services as necessary to execute your unique design. Anodizing up to 16 pieces(including one body and one frame) is included in our Gold tier package.

Black Gold - $450
Any color you want as long as it's black. Based on our experience, laser engraving looks best on a dust black ano. This package takes advantage of this fact by offering a dust black ano on up to 19 pieces(including one body and frame), and then focusing the design on using that ideal surface for some detailed laser work. An example of a well executed black-gold package would be our Roy Ego, or the Knotwork Pump. Guns that are already dust black or have a significant number of currently dust black parts can receive a discount.

Silver - $350
Gold on a budget. This package delivers the same ano and laser possibilities as our Gold package, but limited to a body and trigger frame. Bring us a theme or idea, and we take it from there! This package allows us to more freely interpret your idea while creating your ODD design; as opposed the more cooperative approach available with our Gold and Platinum packages. Small numbers of additional accent pieces (i.e. eye covers, triggers, etc.) can be added on an additional, per-part basis, and subtracting the trigger frame drops the price $25.

Bronze - $300
Looking to spruce up one of your favorite guns? This package combines a single-color ano with simple laser engraving on up to ten parts! Note that for a project to fall into this category, the laser graphic should be relatively complete (i.e. requiring no additional prep time or retooling in Photoshop; team logos, peace/anarchy symbols, other clip-art style graphics, etc...) and limited to a single, non-crucial placement on the body.

Tippmann Sports & U.S. Army Join Forces

New line of paintball equipment marketed under U.S. Army brand will offer players reliable equipment with an authentic look at an affordable price.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL - Tippmann Sports is proud to introduce U.S. Army Paintball, an entirely new brand for players seeking high-quality equipment and a realistic military feel at an affordable price. U.S. Army Paintball will officially launch in early 2008 with the introduction of a family of markers and modifications manufactured by Tippmann. The strength of the U.S. Army brand is expected to attract new players to paintball and help convey the unmatched level of realism and durability the new products will deliver. In addition to markers, all paintball categories are included in the official licensing agreement Tippmann signed with U.S. Army, so additional products will be introduced in the coming months.

"Dependable...rugged...top-level performance - words easily applied to the men and women in the U.S. Army as well as the new products being launched by U.S. Army Paintball," said Patrick Ehren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Tippmann Sports. "Based on initial feedback, we expect very strong response to U.S. Army Paintball. And, we believe the brand will create new opportunities to grow the game by bridging paintball to the estimated 30 million Americans who are active in the military, veterans, part of military families or military enthusiasts. Plus, it's a great way for Tippmann to demonstrate its support of our troops."

The U.S. Army brand will be launched in conjunction with a broad-reaching program that will utilize the core values of the Army to promote safety, teamwork and strategy among paintball players. The first-of-its-kind program will include a Web site and a unique U.S. Army Paintball Guide, which will be included with every marker to educate players and provide them with the necessary tools to be effective and responsible in the field - helping maximize their enjoyment of the game. The guide will even provide a few missions that the average player can easily integrate into their weekend game. Additional missions will also be available for download on the U.S. Army Paintball Web site.

"It's important to note that U.S. Army is a lot more than just a few new markers, it's a whole new product line that will give retailers the ability to merchandise a cohesive program to expand awareness of paintball and bring more players to the game," Ehren added. "Without question, retailers and players are hungry for a recognizable new brand that couples well-crafted equipment with the intelligence needed to play paintball the way it was meant to be played - the U.S. Army way."

For additional details about U.S. Army Paintball, please call 1-800-533-4831. More specific product information and retail availability will also be available in early November on the new U.S. Army Paintball Web site, located at usarmypaintball.com.

2008 Smart Parts SP-1

Finally, the last marker update from Smart Parts. The 2008 Smart Parts SP-1 is not a surprise since the marker was used by Smart Corps in their last tournament... Pictures were taken, rumors were started, and enough people in the know acknowledged the existence. Well here's the official picture and press release. I am hearing a price of $150 at this point. Looks a bit like a toy to me but aren't all of these things toys....

The new Smart Parts SP-1 Tactical marker delivers true electropneumatic performance combined with rugged scenario/milsim styling at a surprisingly affordable price.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 23, 2007 – With the release of the SP-8, Smart Parts redefined tactical paintball markers. A paintgun for the serious woods, scenario or milsim player didn't have to rely on early 1990s hammer and valve performance to operate. Now high-end electropneumatic operation has become even more versatile and affordable with the SP-1 Tactical Marker.

The SP-1 is more than just a marker, it is an affordable launchpad allowing players to build their own high-performance custom tactical machine. “It's simply amazing,” said Sean Scott. As both a Smart Parts wholesale specialist and member of the reigning national scenario challenge champions, the Smart Corps factory team, Scott is no stranger to the needs of today's woods oriented paintball player. “It's amazing to me,” he said, “that players who prefer mil-sim styling have had so few marker options that really take advantage of modern paintball technology. The SP-1 is changing that completely. Not only is it bringing high-end performance to the woods, but it's doing it at a price new players can afford.”

At the core of the SP-1 Tactical Marker lies the tremendously successful Ion bolt and valve system, with maintenance that is easier than ever before. An all-new quick-strip bolt sleeve unscrews from the back of the SP-1 allowing the bolt stop and bolt to be removed. Amazingly that is all that needs to be done for regular maintenance and cleaning.

The SP-1 bolt is controlled by Smart Parts exclusive micro solenoid valve and circuit board, allowing it to deliver recoil-free, quiet and consistent shooting that is impossible with its hammer and spring powered blowback competitors – even those with “electro grips.”

A removable trigger guard gives SP-1 Tactical owners the option of sticking with the stock single trigger for a pure milsim look, or switching to a two finger trigger and guard for increased rates of fire.

Key to the SP-1 Tactical's performance is the new Max-Flo R vertical regulator. Not only does this regulator provide optimal stability and flow with compressed air, but its integrated relief valve provides the solenoid valve and internal components with complete protection from the damaging pressure spikes associated with liquid CO2. The Max-Flo R allows the player to choose between high-end compressed air systems or low-cost CO2 tanks capable of delivering more shots per fill.

Six tactical rails on the SP-1 Tactical's top and sides allow for limitless placement of sights, night-vision scopes, grips, risers and other tactical accessories. Its integrated tactical flashlight mount allows instant use of off-the shelf compact flashlights at a fraction of the cost of traditional tactical lights, and automatically aligns them perfectly with a barrel so they can even be used as a sighting system. Integrated mount points in the marker's rear also allow for the mounting of full length and telescoping stocks.

All of these features don't weigh the SP-1 down though. Its machined aluminum inner receiver is encased by a body and grip frame that are manufactured from firearms grade glass-fiber reinforced nylon, giving the marker lightweight maneuverability combined with military durability.

The Smart Parts SP-1 Tactical provides true low-pressure, electropneumatic operation in a package that is fully CO2 compatible and is as inexpensive as an entry-level mechanical blowback semi-auto paintgun. Smart Parts is tailoring its high-end technology to the needs of milsim and scenario players because we believe that players should get more for their money, and we believe that equipment counts.

The SP-1 Tactical Marker is on display at the Smart Parts show trailer for the duration of the 2007 PSP Paintball World Cup, and will soon be available from Smart Parts dealers everywhere.

2008 Smart Parts EOS

Yes, another updated marker from Smart Parts. The 2008 Smart Parts EOS updates the Epiphany line. Again, much easier maintenance and better efficiency.... Price should be around $400 to start. I kind of feel like I just read the same press release three times in a row and I still haven't posted anything on the SP-1. WHERE IS THE NXT UPDATE? It should be called the SLR or 7 series if they keep following the car theme.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 23, 2007 – One year ago, Smart Parts, Inc., stepped up the performance in Ion class markers with the launch of the Epiphany. With a newer, smaller fire chamber and exclusive volume control inserts, the Epiphany's faster charging valve delivers rock-steady consistency at today's modern tournament rates of fire while still maintaining a mid-level marker's price tag.

The EOS goes one step further, including the ease of bolt out back disassembly for incredibly simple maintenance.

For serious paintball players, walking the trigger to high rates of fire without velocity drop-off is critical, but it's not the only feature that matters. Fast maintenance and repair cycles in the staging area can mean the difference between going home with a trophy, or just going home.

“At this level of performance, most markers take quite a bit of work to disassemble for cleaning,” says Smart Parts' Vice President Adam Gardner. “Many may have a bolt that slides out fast, but getting their main valve out takes serious work and sometimes even proprietary tools.”

That is not so with the EOS – just one allen wrench is needed to remove the back plug, then the bolt, fire chamber and volume control insert slide out the back. In seconds the entire valve system is available for inspection, cleaning or repair.

Rapid firing without the negative effects of shoot-down and easy maintenance aren't the EOS' only strengths, though. From its lightweight high-tech alloy body and sleek grip frame to its machined aluminum interior and stock clamping feedneck, the EOS is built with the feel, style and durability to handle the rigors of professional tournament level paintball. Its integrated air system mounting rail allows for clean, tight configurations without the need for adapters.

Over the last three years, more professional level paintball tournaments have been won with Smart Parts markers than all other brands put together. Smart Parts continues in that tradition of winning, with players designing and building our markers because we believe that equipment counts.

The EOS is on display at the Smart Parts show trailer for the duration of the 2007 PSP Paintball World Cup, and will soon be available from Smart Parts dealers everywhere.

2008 Smart Parts Ion XE

Smart Parts updated the Ion and now it sounds like a new car model (2008 Smart Parts Ion XE). Supposed to have better maintenance & be even cheaper. I am hearing a price of $225. I don't really have any feelings about the Ion... Enough said!

The incredibly popular Ion paintball marker has been redesigned to integrate one of its users' most desired features – easy bolt-out-back maintenance.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 23, 2007 – Since its initial release, the popularity of the Ion electropneumatic paintball marker has grown by leaps and bounds. This is not at all surprising, considering that it was the first marker to provide true low-pressure electropneumatic operation with integrated anti-chop Vision at a price that was affordable to the typical recreational paintball player.

In a retail price range where all of the competing markers – even those with electronic grip frames – still rely on accuracy robbing spring and hammer valve systems from the 1990s, the Ion XE's integrated bolt/valve system, with only one lightweight major moving part, is propelled by digitally controlled, regulated low-pressure gas for fantastic accuracy and quiet operation. The result is tournament level performance, whether it is creeping through the woods or charging an inflatable bunker.

“For all of its outstanding performance, some players found the Ion a bit difficult to disassemble for maintenance,” said Smart Parts engineer Hans Semelsberger. Semelsberger is no stranger to the needs of the serious paintball player, himself having been in the professional winner's circle numerous times as a member of the All Americans.

“The players spoke and we listened,” said Semelsberger, “Bolt out back bodies have been a desirable upgrade, but unfortunately the combined cost of a new marker and bolt out back body was typically more than the price tag on our more advanced markers. With a minor redesign of the Ion's bolt assembly, we've been able to integrate easy bolt out back maintenance into the new Ion XE and deliver all of this in the same affordable price range.”

All of the Ion's outstanding features – a full metal grip frame and receiver, break-beam Vision anti-chop shttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifystem, three-point adjustable trigger, high-flow rate Max-Flo IRG vertical regulator, digital control of timing, multiple firing modes, and interchangeable protective body covers – are a part of the new Ion XE, but now removing the bolt and entire valve system for regular maintenance requires only one tool and takes only a matter of seconds.

Over the last three years, more professional level paintball tournaments have been won with Smart Parts markers than all other brands put together. Smart Parts is making that same technology available to a much wider base of players because we believe that players should get more for their money, and we believe that equipment counts.

The Ion XE is on display at the Smart Parts show trailer for the duration of the 2007 PSP Paintball World Cup, and will soon be available from Smart Parts dealers everywhere.

2008 Smart Parts Vibe

I guess the Ion wasn't affordable enough. Smart Parts just release this press release on the Vibe - Redefining Entry Level Markers.... I can imagine these becoming the new rental marker of choice (just a way to get rookies to buy and use more paint). I am hearing a price range of $140 - $150...

The revolutionary new Smart Parts Vibe paintball marker delivers true electropneumatic performance at an entry-level price.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 23, 2007 – With the release of the Ion, Smart Parts proved that owning a high-performance electropneumatic paintball marker didn't have to be limited to those players who could afford the most expensive equipment. Now the company is redefining the performance levels available to even first-time players.

The Smart Parts Vibe provides true low-pressure, electropneumatic operation in a package that is fully CO2 compatible and is as inexpensive as an entry-level mechanical blowback semi-auto paintgun.

“I have played and won some of the biggest paintball tournaments in the world, shooting the best high-end paintguns to do it,” said Smart Parts President Bill Gardner, Jr., “but the Vibe is one of the most exciting markers I've ever seen. By packing high-end electropneumatics into a marker that even a first-time paintball player can afford, our engineering and design teams are really democratizing paintball. Now even the new player or rental user can have the firepower to keep up with the experienced players.”

Centered around Ion bolt and valve technology, the Vibe takes advantage of Smart Parts' exclusive new micro solenoid valve and circuit board, both purpose built to deliver high-performance on a new player budget.

A simple design makes maintenance easy – even for the first-timer. Vibe maintenance and cleaning requires only unscrewing the bolt sleeve from the rear of the marker to extract its bolt stop and Ion compatible bolt. Because the valve system is comprised of the bolt itself, there is no additional hammer or valve core to remove, and no sear or springs to drop or lose when accessing them – a process that can take several minutes with competing products, and can be confusingly complex to those who are less mechanically inclined.

The Vibe is also extremely durable and lightweight. Its machined aluminum internal structure is encased in a body and grip frame made from the same glass-fiber reinforced nylon materials that are used for the corresponding parts of police handguns.

While compressed air is very popular for experienced players, its cost and complexity usually keep it out of the hands of a new player, and most electropneumatic markers have had severe problems with carbon dioxide – until now.

The Vibe is powered by the brand new Max-Flo R vertical regulator. In addition to fantastic low-pressure high-flow performance on CO2 or air, the Max-Flo R features an integrated relief valve system that provides complete protection against overpressure damage caused by CO2. Protected from the stresses of liquid CO2, the low operating pressure of the Vibe allows it to keep running in situations where CO2 chilling would starve its competition.

Most importantly, the Vibe is a true electropneumatic marker. Even though the competitors in its price class rely upon early 1990s valve and hammer technology which shakes the marker with every shot, the Vibe is fast, quiet and stable.

Over the last three years, more professional level paintball championships have been won with Smart Parts markers than all other brands put together. Smart Parts is making that same technology available to even beginning players because we believe that players should get more for their money, and we believe that equipment counts.

The Vibe is on display at the Smart Parts show trailer for the duration of the 2007 PSP Paintball World Cup, and will soon be available from Smart Parts dealers everywhere.

Paintball Sports Trade Association

The Paintball Sports Trade Association (PSTA), the not-for-profit organization recently formed in cooperation with the SGMA (Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association) to increase Paintball awareness, acceptance and participation around the globe, has officially launched its Web site at www.Paintball.org. The new interactive destination is designed as an unbiased resource for anyone seeking comprehensive information about the sport of Paintball. The site provides a detailed Paintball overview, tips for playing the game, articles for newer players and their parents, safety guidelines and industry standards, and a variety of resources for Paintball retailers and field owners.

"With the level of participation and mainstream acceptance that Paintball is now benefiting from, it's critical for our industry to have a voice," said Howard Kosick, chairman of the PSTA. "And, with the new website in place, we know the PSTA's voice can be heard by a mass audience-around the world, 24-hours a day. Without question, this is an important step that will help strengthen the Paintball industry over the long term, so we're excited about launching this site."

Other highlights of the initial site include: an introduction to the PSTA and its current member businesses, the History of Paintball, frequently asked questions, a directory of terms, links to various Paintball leagues, information about publications and other resources covering the game as well as special event, field and store locators. The new web site is a work in progress and we expect to add new information and resources over time.

"Simply put, our goal with the site was to create a one-stop information shop for everything Paintball," said Craig Miller, the PSTA's vice chairman. "We want parents, players, retailers, the media, Paintball entrepreneurs and others to bookmark the site, come back often and really utilize it as their gateway to the industry."

The Paintball Sports Trade Association was organized to heighten awareness excitement about Paintball, and serve as valuable resource for those seeking additional information about the industry. Member businesses, in alphabetical order, include: Action Village.com, DYE Paintball, JT Sports, Kingman USA, Planet Eclipse, Procaps LP / DXS Paintball, Special Ops Paintball, Tippmann Sports and Zap Paintball.

Dealer Direct For Smart Parts

Bypassing distributors, Smart Parts' Authorized Dealer program for fields and stores provides better margins to the dealer and better service for the customer.

Loyalhanna, PA – October 22, 2007 – While many paintball dealers and field owners have become accustomed to one-stop shopping through large wholesale distributors, Smart Parts, Inc. is ceasing its distributor level pricing programs to focus on working directly with Smart Parts Authorized dealers and fields.

“Ultimately, it comes down to quality of service,” said Smart Parts Vice President, Adam Gardner. “Store and field owners are the backbone of the paintball industry. By partnering with them directly, we can better inform them about our rapidly expanding product line, which in turn means the end user gets to deal with a more knowledgeable sales and support staff. Dealer direct sales also give us more capability to enforce our Minimum Advertised Price program which protects the dealer's ability to earn a fair profit, while delivering competitive prices to the player.”

Rebecca Gamble is the company's Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) coordinator, and works full time to make sure the policies are followed. “I'm very exciting about the new focus on direct sales to Smart Parts Authorized Dealers,” says Gamble. “It eliminates the wildcard of distributors selling to Internet and garage based dealers who advertise blow MAP, undercutting the legitimate businesses which provide true service and support to the customer.”

Paintball store and field owners interested in learning more about becoming a Smart Parts Authorized Dealer, as well as the company's free technician certification program, and all new products are invited to visit the Smart Parts Expo Trailer at the 2007 PSP Paintball World Cup, October 22nd through 28th at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, or call Smart Parts, Inc., at 800-992-2147 to speak with a dealer sales representative.
